“Building on a line of thought developed in *Beyond Imported Magic* (Medina et al., 2014), this video art exhibition examines ‘imported magic’ from the perspective of science, technology and North-South innovation transfers. It explores how certain technologies reinforce soft power and help to perpetuate epistemological injustices. Through the critical scope of their conceptual and formal dimensions, the works on display challenge, in particular, the logic of consumption.”

The piece CUI BONO was presented alongside Inside and Around Institutions and Looking Outside, 2026 from Irineu Destourelles. Curated by Sofia L. Borges, Mayra Jocelin Martinez, Reynaldo de los Reyes.
