Avolition

Literally "lack of will"; Avolition is the decreased motivation to initiate self-directed activities. These activities include routines such as hobbies, going to work and/or school, and essentially engage in any social activities. Experiencing avolition as a psychopathology, a person can stay at home for long periods of time, instead of seeking social relationships or show inability to initiate and persist in activities directed towards a goal.

The video animation Avolution blends together a non-exhaustive database of the protests that took place worldwide since 1985, alongside found-footage of 3D animation programmes youtube tutorials. The soundtrack is composed of isochronic & binaural beats alluding to brainwave entertainment, or relaxation music.
